A tantalising selection of Sauv Blanc from different regions in South Africa.

This mix includes;

Iona Sauv Blanc (from the Elgin region)
Beautiful purity of limes and ripe gooseberry, with tropical, floral and fine herbal notes, ruby grapefruit and white pear drop on the finish. This is cool climate Sauvignon blanc – vibrant, mineral, elegant, balanced and delicate, with a long, layered and complex finish.

GHOST CORNER SAUVIGNON BLANC (located in the heart of Cederberg)

A unique Sauvignon blanc that cannot be compared to any other. Powerful concentrated layers of green figs and gooseberries, with a touch of grapefruit, fynbos and a steely minerality on the palate.

A reflection of the cool climate terroir of Elim where the grapes are sourced. Lees contact during the winemaking process creates length and richness on the aftertaste, which will progress even more over the next 2 or 3 years. This wine can stand its own against any great seafood or poultry dishes such as pheasant.

GROOTE POST - SEASALTER (from the Cape’s West Coast)

An established, award-winning pedigree. This Seasalter is an intense Sauvignon blanc and Semillon blend (10%) displaying typical Darling minerality and soft nuances of citrus, stonefruit and green apple. This blend is slightly different from the maiden vintage which is part of a limited range that was launched in 2018.

50% of this wine was aged in French Oak barrels while the other half remained on the lease in tanks.

The Sea Salter’s balanced acidity will allow ageing for a good few years.

STEENBERG THE BLACK SWAN SAUVIGNON BLANC (from Constantia)

The Black Swan Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is a pure expression of the Steenberg terroir and shows notes of nasturtium, sugar-snap pea, fresh asparagus and capsicum on the nose, while the palate supports the aromas with fresh lemon and subtle hints of dried apricot and mange tout.
A mouth-watering acidity accompanies a full and long finish achieved with extended lees contact in tank. This is a wonderful food wine and will reward cellaring of between 10 – 20 years.
Saxenburg Private Collection Sauv
(from the Polkadraai Hills)
An incredibly inviting and complex nose, showing white-fleshed nectarines, freshly cut passion fruit, ripe pear, and kiwi. The fruit follows through beautifully to the palate, with a hint of orange pith adding interest at the back of the palate. The wine is wonderfully weighted and textured, but Saxenburg’s typical minerality ensures balance and freshness.

Delaire Graff Coastal Cuvée Sauvignon Blanc

(from Stellenbosch)

Our Coastal Cuvée is rich in tropical fruit flavours, underpinned by layers of blackcurrant, gooseberry and nettles.
Well balanced and complex, it finishes long, with concentrated fruit and fresh, crisp acidity.
