One single vineyard wine from the Paardeberg – this was planted in 1997. Dry grown and bush vine. The same mix of stainless steel and old French oak is used for fermentation, with only 10% of the skins included for 2 weeks. No fining, no filtering.
Lovely aromatics jumping out of the glass: lemon peel, lime juice, basil and salt. Lively palate with a hint of pyrazine adding a bit of “zing”. Lovely freshness and a bit of texture. Crushingly good.
